Sparks Nevada, July 20 – 24. LA Heat will have an organizational workout for all LA Heat players in the Sparks area on Sunday July 20th.

If you would like to join one of the LA Heat teams for BFA Nationals, please complete the player questionnaire below and pay a deposit of $50 toward player fees. More information about fees & expenses are included in the slides and FAQ below.

FAQs
Will there be tryouts?
No, we will not be holding tryouts for the BFA Nationals teams. We will work hard to prepare our players to be competitive, but our priority is to create opportunities for girls to play baseball.
What does it cost?
The family of each player will be responsible for paying their percentage of tournament fees, and for their hats & uniforms. We have begun a fundraiser that will reduce the cost per family. However, if no additional money is raised, a family could expect to pay about $275 toward entry fees and about $65 – $75 for jerseys and a hat (per player).
Estimated cost for hotels are included in the slides above. Travel, lodging, food, etc – is not included in the fees we collect.
Please see the slides above for more details about fees & expenses, and our fundraising goals. LA Heat does not charge players’ families for non-parent volunteer coaches or operating expenses, but we hope to cover some of these expenses with fundraising.

Will there be practices?
We will begin practices for players local to Los Angeles in May, and plan to hold about 2 per month until nationals. Team practices may be combined with clinics at times. We will also hold a practice for all players on both teams on July 20th in Nevada, the day before BFA Nationals begin.
We can’t make BFA Nationals, can we still join a team?
Yes. We plan to participate in more all-girl baseball tournaments and scrimmages in the future.
